
Sanae enjoys a varied career not only as a composer and arranger but also as a performer and educator. As a pianist, Sanae has given recitals in the United States and Japan. She has accompanied vocalists, strings, woodwinds and brass in a variety of styles and genres.
As an educator, Sanae maintains a large private teaching studio in the Eastern Massachusetts area. She instructs all levels from beginner through professional and has taught in Japan, as well as at Northeastern University.
As a composer and arranger she has written numerous works for tuba and euphonium with piano, various ensembles and has recently completed her fourth piece for brass quintet. Her first work for brass "Karen" was written for Karen Antonio-Muenzinger and INNOVATA. It has been released on INNOVATA's first Compact Disc recording entitled "Brass a la carte" on Stillwater Digital. "Karen" and Sanae's second work for brass quintet "Purple Night" have been heralded with fantastic audience response! Look for more works by Sanae in upcoming INNOVATA concerts.
